GLENCOE, AL (WBRC)- Glencoe police say a tip about a stolen tractor led to a cache of military hardware they say was stolen from the Anniston Army Depot.

Police say they began their investigation Thursday when they found that stolen tractor at a residence on Edgar Road in Glencoe.

Once at the house, they found other stolen items, like utility trailers and a generator.

Police returned to the home today with a search warrant and say they found about 30 guns including an assault rifle as well as grenades, blasting caps, even spare parts for Stryker military vehicles.

Police suspect the homeowner, Anniston Army Depot employee Ryan Mayo, stole the military items from his workplace.

According to police there were also a number of non-military items reported at the house that were reported stolen in Calhoun and Etowah counties.

The 31-year-old and his 39-year-old girlfriend, Denise Gilley, are charged with receiving stolen property. Police say more charges are coming.
